Vintage Guatemalan Huipil. San Juan Cotzal

An extraordinarily lovely San Juan Cotzal ceremonial huipil. Hand woven on a back strap loom in 3 red all cotton base panels. The principal decoration is supplementary brocade featuring birds and geometric designs. A traditional jaguar collar design is hand embroidered.
W 31 X L 21.5 inches across the front of one side.
