These handmade earrings are reproductions of ancient Zapotec earrings that were found in the 7th tomb of Monte Alban. The Zapotec are the native people of Oaxaca.
At the time of listing these I have a handful of them and if you are interested it could be the last crack at them. These have become very difficult to get. I only know of one artisan still producing these and he is quite aged and producing work very slowly.
They are treasures aesthetically and culturally.
Sterling silver and turquoise. Just shy of 3.5 inches long.
Approx 14 grams.
